Confessions of a Social Climber

Aside from the usual travel sites I frequent like tripadvisor, travelblog, and all other blogs about travel where I get my daily juice, I love Luxury link because they’ve made luxury travel quite affordable.

What’s not to love? I think Luxury Link has changed the way people travel – if the airlines are slashing their rates and presenting us prices that we didn’t dare imagine years ago, then Luxury Link has made it easier for us little people to afford luxurious spots to spend a holiday, and made it fun to boot. (there are still a couple of more luxury travel sites on the net, but they’ve been nice to me – customer service rocks!)

Recently while browsing their site (when I’m not going on a trip, I’m always looking out for new additions to their collection, and it helps to look at those amazing resort pictures), I stumbled on their Win A Trip contest (I’m in a generous mode so although giving you the link may or may not reduce my chances of winning, I’m giving it nonetheless).

I’ve been joining the past few weeks now(you can register everyday), and I can’t wait till March 31 to see who wins. My friends have also joined and we’ve been arguing the past few days why each of us deserve to win. Since most of us are web savvy and have our own blogs, we’ve decided to post a little “why i deserve to win a trip” on each of our blogs.

So here’s my reason (and I hope I win – I’ll keep everyone posted on who wins or if I do win):

I deserve a nice clean break. I’ve been working an average of 10-12 hours a day, and I’m starting to hate myself. I love my work, I really do, but you know how people tell you “do something you love, and you’ll never work for a day”, doesn’t apply here. I’m at a point where I’m inches away from burning out.

Boo. A bit dramatic eh? A woman’s tears never fails!

Anyway even if I don’t win, I’m booking a package and taking that well-deserved holiday. I need to clear my head, refresh my thoughts so I can work better when I come back, and a vacation always does the trick!
